Sunrise started with one small promise: make mornings kinder.

Before there were colourful boxes and supermarket shelves, there was a tiny kitchen, a few bags of grain and a family who believed breakfast could feel calmer, lighter and a lot more joyful.

Born in A small bakery

It began with three jars on a counter.

Sunrise Cereals grew out of a weekend experiment. Our founders, Mira and Dev, wanted a breakfast that was as cheerful as their favourite pastries, but felt a little lighter. They toasted grains, stirred in nuts and fruit, and filled three glass jars on the bakery counter.

By the end of the morning, all three jars were empty. Neighbours started bringing their jars back for refills, and “that crunchy sunrise mix” quietly became part of everyone’s routine.

The refill crowd

Regulars start bringing their own jars and containers. “Sunrise mix” becomes part of the neighbourhood language.

The first printed box

Our doodled sunrise becomes an actual logo, and the first printed box lands on a small local store shelf.

2015

Wholegrain shift

More recipes move to wholegrains and higher fibre. Labels get clearer. Mornings get a little more grounded.
